Luma Pull

Troubleshooting

Why video downloads fail even when the video plays.

Playback and downloading are not the same thing. A browser can play media through tokens, sessions, encryption, and player logic that a downloader may not be allowed to access.

Common reasons a download fails

What to try first

Start with the simplest checks: update Luma Pull, retry the link, and confirm the media is actually downloadable under your access rights. If the page needs a signed-in session, try the built-in browser and use Pull Page after the media is visible.

When not to keep fighting it

If the content owner uses DRM, subscription controls, or a paywall, do not try to force it. Ask for a rights-cleared MP4, WAV, MP3, or delivery folder. That is cleaner legally, technically, and professionally.

What support needs

If a public or authorized link still fails, send support the app version, install source, output format, the failing URL, and a support bundle from the app. That gives enough context to identify whether the issue is site support, app behavior, or access rights.

Use the right tool for the right link

Luma Pull is built for authorized media workflows, not protected-stream circumvention. That keeps the product safer, cleaner, and more reliable for paying users.
